Competition for Chinese or Chinese American Artists
(Note: This is NOT ethnic or racial prejudice. There is a reason that this competition is open only to Chinese or Chinese American artists.)
This is announcing an art competition. Entrants must be Chinese or of Chinese origin. Two or maximum three winners will have the opportunity to show their work at an art gallery in Sunrise, Florida (near Fort Lauderdale)from January 9 through January 24, 2008, with a reception on January 19th at 5:30 pm during a show hosted by the City of Sunrise featuring Chinese acrobats and other Chinese themed activities.
Sales of artwork at this gallery will be with no commission so the artist gets the full amount of any sale. 2-300 people are expected to attend the event on the night. The City of Sunrise will cover hotel costs for the night of the event.
